Super User gim Posted January 16 Super User Posted January 16 Thought it would be interesting to see what individuals across the country pay their state to own/operate a watercraft. I just received my renewal notification in the mail and the cost is $75.60 for the next 3 years. That comes out to $25.20 for each year. I feel as though its a very reasonable cost to have a fishing boat. Heck, I'd pay more of they charged more. 1 Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted January 16 Super User Posted January 16 Oh crap, glad this came up, I need to renew this year....last registration period was $44.00 per 2 years ... $22/yr. Let's not give them any ideas tho 1 Quote

I find that to be very reasonable too for a whole year. They have a vanishing deductible if you don't submit a claim and mine is down to zero now. I've never submitted a claim. 2 Quote

Totally agree and wouldn't hit the water without it either ... Mine is thru Progressive as well The vanishing deductible is a new one on me...I probably have it and didn't realize it. Now I have homework to do, thanks a lot! 1 Quote

I just glanced at the fees - Bass Trek is smaller, so it'd be around $50 for three years - so $17 a year. My trailer has a lifetime tag, so no more paying for that, and my Insurance through Farmers is $125 a year. So a bit under $150 a year...ya, I'll pay that and be happy. 1 Quote
volzfan59 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Here in Arkansas, for a 16’ to 26’ boat it’s $15.00 for three years. If my boat was 15’ and under, $5.00 for three years. Quote

Super User Jar11591 Posted January 18 Super User Posted January 18 Because my boat is under 16’ I pay $22.50 in New York State. Quote
Motoboss Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Indiana Once registered you only pay the renewal fee every year. Then add the trailer, which is about $40 per year. So renewal on my Sportspal canoe and trailer is around $50 per year. Quote
