Guys, I can pickup a LN SC Victory 72MHM casting rod for $ 80.00.  I've never had a moderate action before.  I've heard it's good for swimbaits such a Mepp's bucktail spinners..is this correct?

For $80.00 I’d buy it and find out. If it’s truly in like new condition you will have zero issues reselling it.

I have a 7'2 MHMF Victory I use for chatterbaits, lipless, spinnerbaits and square bill cranks. Never tied on a swimbait though.

I would have bought it and ask question later.

I am buying it (especially for the price) but was wondering if the moderate action would be good the spinner baits with treble hooks.  I normally use a fast action.

Should be great for treble hooks and keeping those fish pinned. Heck of a deal

I’ve never held the Victory model you’re talking about but if it helps I’ve fished both treble and single hooks on my bps crankin sticks with suffix advance monofilament and had zero issues setting the hook ever. Let us know what you think of the rod.

I owned that rod. It's a crankbait rod and a good one. 1.5 squarebills, RK Crawlers, wiggle warts even a deep little N.

I personally wouldn't throw a spinnerbait on it.
