ABU is overpriced Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Just bought the previous version back in November. While the rod feels very powerful, haven't had the time to properly test its sensitivity, and the rod is kinda tip heavy. The newer ones sure look better, tho. I would assume they're made in China, and not in Japan like 2 gens ago? Quote

Eric 26 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Am I the only one who noticed the pairing of a Shimano reel on a Daiwa rod 🤔 You may as well bring a bunch of bananas when you use that combo 🤣😆 1 3 Quote

Outright blasphemy. OP, let us know how it works out. I have 2 older Exsence DC reels, but my plans are to use them on MH or Heavy rods. What line will you be using? Took my first one on one of my visits to Florida. As long as I didn't put it on a number below max braking (5, I think), it never backlashed regardless of which other setting it was on. MH rod, 12# AN40 or Siege. Forget which. Spool set loose. 1 Quote

But I guess I should take all my Shimano reels off my St Croix rods now that St Croix has Seviin reels? Or Maybe I should take my Diawa off of my Loomis salmon rod since Loomis is Shimano? 😆 2 Quote

Rule #9 is the most importantest though 2 Quote
