I have a 22 bantam 151 6:1, a curado 71k hg, and a 20 met b 151hg that all obviously have the shorter handles and smaller knobs.  I am looking for factory replacements that match each of these reels with the handle length and knob size that comes on the curado k 201hg (assuming this is a 90mm handle?  I can't find that info)...but...I would like them to match the reels respectively.  I don't want to just put curado k handles on all three as I know the metals are different colors.  I would like to purchase the entire assemble including knobs and hardware that I can just easily swap and not have to worry about other odds and ends like bearings, washers, etc.

What factory shimano handles would look sexy on each individual reel?  Looking here: https://fishshop.shimano.com/collections/low-profile the part number listed on the schematics do not match the part numbers being sold, so I am confused.

Bantam - assuming get the XG handle assembly?  Is that 90mm? 94mm? Do they come with the larger knobs? Is there a 90mm handle that looks good or just go with the 94mm?

Met B - assuming get the XG handle assembly?  Is that 90mm? 94mm? Do they come with the larger knobs?  Is there a 90mm handle that looks good or just go with the 94mm?

Curado 71 - the handle is a nice anodized black.  What would look good on this one?

Thanks for your help.  I am usually good at figuring this out, but the internet is confusing me this morning.

All of my reels that came with 84MM handle are replaced by 18 or 22 Bantam XG 90MM handle with extra bearings:

If you like a good-looking silver, I suggest looking at the one for 22 Bantam XG (90MM) handle assembly part number 10S2V

10S2V – Shimano US Fish Shop

If you like gun metal looking dark grey the checkout 18 Bantam XG (90MM) handle assembly

part number 10TTR

10TTR – Shimano US Fish Shop

Both of the handle assembly comes with the handle knobs you want but only 1 bearing per knob.

You can buy extra or extract the ones that came with the original handles you are replacing and the handle nuts and retainers should be compatible.

If you want handle assembly that comes with 2 bearings per knob then go for the Metanium B handle assembly, USDM HG already comes with 9MM, XG comes with 96MM both with bigger knobs also.

Anything else is personal preference.

Thank you for that help.  I am having an off day with my google fu.  I did fail to mention I have the jdm met B.  I see I made an error in my post.

1 bearing vs 2 in the knobs...is it that noticeably smoother on the larger knobs/handles?  Or would the first two you mentioned be a good swap?

what about the met dc a?  it has the darker color handle.  does one of those models have a 90mm handle with the larger paddles and 2 bearings?

Yes, I can feel the difference between knobs that has 1 bearing 1 bushing vs knobs that has 2 bearings, you can compare your Bantam and Metanium handles side by side to see if it matters much to you. Bantam/Curado 71 handle knobs come with 1 bearing and 1 bushing compared to the Metanium 2 bearings per knob. Both 90MM handles mentioned of course are a lot better than those 84MM handle but then again, it's all up to you which one you want to buy.

I was planning on replacing my 24 Met DC 84MM handle with XG handle version until I saw how much the whole handle was, I almost passed out!

This would be the 90mm met b lefty with the large knobs?

Yes HG 90mm but silver in color with larger knobs.

I think XG is 96MM.

That is crazy!

So the only way to get a dark handle with 2 bearing knobs without spending that ridiculous money is to use the bearings from the knobs I already have and order the 18 bantam handle assembly?

Yes and would look like this:

It's not completely black but close enough. Curado 71 has black handle shank though.

Excuse my ignorance, but which piece is the handle shank?  You're talking about the handle itself correct?

You're welcome, Sir! glad to help.

it's the handle part that is swept.

One last question as I have never seen one in person...Any idea if the curado dc or 200 dc green handle matches the green on the 70 mgl such as the star drag, etc?  Online pics looks as though it could be a different shade.

I've actually looked into this a while back and I just double checked myself again before replying just to be sure. The Curado 71K MGL, Curado DC 151, Curado DC 201 all uses the same green star drag part# BNT5915 or 10TB5 and both DC 151/201 uses the same handle assembly just different lengths.

I used to own the DC 151HG and I currently own a 71K MGL so I'm almost 100 percent sure that the handle assembly for the DC 151HG should color match the star drag of the 71K MGL.

DC 151 and HG comes with 90MM handle

DC 151 XG comes with 96MM handle

DC 201HG and XG both comes with 96MM handle

Keep in mind that I use left hand reels so my part numbers could be different than the one you're after.

I'm a lefty too!

Cool! I forgot to mention that those handles come only with bushing.

I love those knobs so much that I even use them on my egg beaters.😁

Plus you've just triggered my OCD so now I want to replace my 71K handle too.🙈

@T2DM  Is the handle shank color from the 22 bantam and the met b the same color or different?

The met B handle assembly is actually $11 cheaper than the 22 bantam.  I will just put the met B handle on my bantam if it will match the star drag, etc.

If you want a black handle with gargantuan knobs when why not a Gomexus handle?

Because they are double the price, and those knobs are ridiculous.  Not what I am looking for.

It's $34 for a 100 mm handle which is much cheaper than the dark colored 24 met DC XG handle Shimano wants $124 for.  If you like big knobs the Gomexus knobs are actually great and let's you go from just pinching paddles to stuffing the knob end deeper into your hand for more power while pinching further down on the knob giving each knob 3 points of contact in your hand.  Great for really agressive winching motions on the handle.

I find the Bantam and Curado knobs to be quite large and squishy for normal paddles.  They're great.  If they are too small for you then you may want to consider moving up to a power knob like the Gomexus or something similar.

This what I have, sort of, on my Bantam and it's great. The one I have came Gomexus AU on Ebay and was more of a dark silver/gray and has cork knobs but was shipped from China.  I like the big knobs on it. They feel amazing and are effortless to turn. I think I paid $50 shipped but it was regularly $60 at that time. Took two weeks to get.

$60 on their website.  The met B handle assembly is $36.

I appreciate the feedback, but not at all what I am after.  I simply want 90mm shimano handle shanks with the larger shimano power knobs.  Not interested in anything else.

I have a Stradic 3000 (FL) that has 1 black knob on it and I love it on that reel. You definitely can put some power into that handle fighting fish. I use that reel mostly in the Gulf..
