Anyone fishing the sleeper craw. Any tips, likes or dislikes. What rods and lines are you using? Thanks for your insight.

I still use one from time to time but I prefer a jig. Fish it anywhere you would a jig or TRig and my setup is 7'5" MHF with 15lb Tatsu.

I plan to fish this on a NRX+ 904C MBR also. Do you have problems with hookups and how is the durability?

They are durable and catch fish. Like others have said, throw them like a jig. I like throwing them on the shallow gravel bottom areas of Texoma. Rolling and hopping. Wouldn’t wanna pitch cover with them because of their price tag. MH rod, 17lb FC or braid to leader.

as for hookup ratio, it’s not as automatic as a regular jig. I’ll side sweep or diagonally sweep a jig and still hit most of the time. The sleeper craw, a vertical hookset is important due to the hidden hook. If you set it right, it’s got a good hookup ratio.

I'm in on this one...I've fished it more than I should have and have caught NADA. It's primarily SM waters that are gin clear.

I've tried crawling it, hopping it and nothing. We are on St Clair os never short on bites and the bass love crayfish from all the parts they leave in my livewell. It's perfect match the hatch colors and I just don't get it.
