Has anyone gotten any recent news on Carrot Stix.   I bought one about 10 years ago.  Its the best rod i have ever had.  Ive been through everything up to and including St. Croix.  and found nothing that even compares to my Carrot.  I bought a couple more back a few years ago , and they were horrible.  All the reviews from the late 2010s says they had major issues (I agree).  But I have not seen anything on them in over 5 years.

I am hoping that they have figured out how to fix their issues and are making great sticks again, but no one out there is saying anything about them.

Anyone have any info.??

They all exploded, everyone stopped using them, they couldn't afford to replace a million rods, boyd left to start his own exploding rod company, they went out of business.

Or something like that. 🫤

I have one of the original E21 Carrot Stix that are orange with the gold hue to it and I like it ok. It is a 6'6" Medium/ Mod Fast and I currently have one of the old orange Daiwa T3 SV reels on it I makes a nice light setup.

I had it set up for small T-rigs and weightless tubes, but I believe I currently have a small Storm 360GT paddletail on it. It is light and pretty sensitive for the price I paid back in the mid 2000's.

I later bought one of the later model "Wild" stix that I think were after they had been sold or restructured. The later one was a 7ft MH-F. I think I got this in the early to mid 2010's. Quality wasn't as good as the original E21 stix. It was straight orange, with black foam grips (The earlier one had cork) and was not as light or sensitive, but worked ok. I originally used it for belly weighted hooks with plastics like a rage menace or rage craw, but later found it made a great rod for throwing the small compact Rocket Shad spinnerbaits.

Never had issues breaking either style, but I rarely break rods. They were ok rods, but never felt the need to go out of my way to get more.

Thank you for the info and update.

The reason I asked was that sometimes we do an all day fishing trip on the lakes down here in FL.  Some of these smaller lakes produce a ton of action.  So, it turns into a busy day --- ALL day....

For those of you that try and enjoy a similar type day - you know 8-10 hours of continuous casting and pulling in Dozens of Bass - you have to have the lightest/strongest setup possible  (or be 25 yrs old and work out every day).

I personally haven't found anything come close to my old Carrot.  Iv'e upgraded reels a few times.  Iv'e tried others, but just cant find anything that is feather light - has serious response - and can pull in a 10lb-r without any concern of snapping...

If I knew then what i know now --- I would of bought 6 of them when i had the chance.

I've have known a lot of people that have owned them, especially the original. None them lasted over a year or two. Don't know of a single person that still has one.

They sort of became a joke on one of the lakes I fish. Sound carrys all over this lake. If you heard a crack followed by some curse words, we would say... "Well there goes another Carrot stick."  🥕

A lot of the Carrot Sticks I saw back then cracked half way up the rod, while others would split just above the reel seat.  My guess, it depends on how you store it and use it. Most broken rods, including ones I have owned,  are destroyed by user error.
