Super User scaleface Posted January 5 Super User Posted January 5 I shoveled the drive way twice today and may do so again before bed. I'll have to shovel again tomorrow, possibly twice . I'm getting to old for this. 3 Quote

We had to keep an tire in people’s yards to get to a plowed road last year 😂 You should try that in a crude transport if ya really wanna have a good time!!! It's extra super fun when your trailer starts trying to pass you!!! 😂 It's looking like we're gonna get a real winter in OH this year. I'm guessing mid March before the lids come off the lakes if the extended forecast holds. 5 Quote

Susky River Rat Posted January 6 Posted January 6 We are going to get 1-3 as of now. Let’s make some ice boys! I’m ready to get in the hard water. 1 1 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted January 6 Super User Posted January 6 The snow has stopped . My driveway is clear but now I have 2 foot of hardened snow blocking the driveway left behind by the snow plow . Thats always the hardest part. I'll take a little shovel and chip away . 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 6 Global Moderator Posted January 6 There were 577 crashes in Minnesota on Wednesday, probably all those people telling southerners they don’t know how to drive 6 Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 6 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 6 50 and sunny the whole week for me. Usually it's 42 and raining. Weird weather indeed. 1 Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted January 6 Super User Posted January 6 We're not looking at any rain or snow and looking at the 10 day is around 32* (avg) for a high and 20* (avg) for a low? That's not terrible, I'll take that in January for New England Quote

I pulled into my office parking lot one winter with the front bumper of my 1976 Ford LTD PUSHING SNOW. The security guard told me to go home, the office was closed. 😂 That being said, neither my truck or the boat are going anywhere. 5 Quote

Schneider up in Greenbay, had plenty of practice on getting under those jackknife trailers, it’s part of their sign on policy.. they have their own ice rink lol Be careful! As far as my local weather we got 10” of snow and maybe 3/4” of ice. Keeps an old guy busy that’s for sure! 2 Quote

Super User casts_by_fly Posted January 7 Super User Posted January 7 We barely got a dusting on this one in north jersey. And with it being so cold, the snow was a fine as the finest white sand I've ever been on (Antigua if you care). Aside from the tire tracks that were packed down, I managed to use the leaf blower to clear most of the driveway in about 20 minutes last night. Now its 15 with 20 mph winds constant. I imagine thats a wind chill in the single digits. The temps aren't so bad inside, but the lack of humidity is killer. My FIL got me a temp station for christmas. It was 69 degrees and 10% RH this morning in the house. My wife has a bad cold like thing so I started boiling stock pots of water for a boost of moisture. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 7 Global Moderator Posted January 7 I left my house this morning, roads 100% dry. Got near work and all roads were ice skating rinks, added 30 minutes to the commute. Saw a dually sliding all over creation Quote

Super User Koz Posted January 11 Author Super User Posted January 11 Yesterday, we received almost three inches of snow here in Georgia. It then changed to rain, made it a slushy mess, then partially froze. There were accidents everywhere. I decided to hole up at my hotel for the night instead of brave the roads. But by 6 am the roads were in good shape and I headed home. I live about 26 miles from work and received zero snow at my house. 2 Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted January 12 Super User Posted January 12 It got down to 32 last night here. We got 1 hard snow/ice storm in my whole life here. Sorry y’all- trying to empathize!🥶 1 1 Quote
Super User GreenPig Posted January 14 Super User Posted January 14 Here in GA. a few days ago we got some snow. Look at this snow covered hay bale.😁 Thought I was gonna have to put the Deere in 4 wheel drive, but it eased through the 1/82 of an inch snow. 6 Quote
Texas Flood Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I only got to ice fish twice last year because of the weather. I welcome the cold and have already been out a couple times 1 Quote
