Looking for a source of brown bear hair for jigs. Small scraps would work I just can't find any. Figured I would ask to see if anyone hunts for them or know a taxidermist.

Not sure that’s legal anywhere on this side of the ocean 

 

I would look for somebody in Canada that shot a cinnamon phase black bear

Alaska and Canada's Yukon Territory are the only places that brown bear hunting is allowed on the continent.

I shot a black bear several years ago and had a fly fishing buddy swing by and took several bags of hair and a few claws.

He also uses deer hair.

 

Black and chartreuse hair jigs was a go-to bait in our river for smallmouth.
