I've been thinking of switching the grandson's braid to Hi-Viz, mainly because I've been trying to get him to watch his line. I don't know how many times I reminded him to set the hook because he wasn't watching.  I've used Hi-Viz line with young folk when instructing them on fishing soft plastics and they picked up the idea of line watching fairly quickly.

I was at BPS yesterday and picked up some 40lb. YO-ZURI  Super Braid, yellow.  I've never used their braid, so I have now way of comparing it to anything I use.  It was the same price as BPS Hi-Viz braid, which I have used. Should I have stuck with something I'm familiar with, but not overjoyed with its performance?

I've used SuperBraid and find it pretty close to 832 in performance. Frankly, if I hadn't labeled the reels, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between the 10#832 and 10# SuperBraid - both in Hi-Vis Yellow.

I have super braid on a reel. I haven't had any problems with it but I'm not real picky when it comes to braid. I believe 40# and lower is 4 carrier and 50# and up is 8 carrier.

Haven't tried out yo-zuri braid personally but sounds like it might be ok from the posts above me...I switched from powerpro to sufix832 a while ago and haven't looked back since...they also make a high viz yellow and high viz lime green which was nice of them since it helps me remember which one is 10lb and which one is 15lb test...also use their 50lb for frogs / flipping and 30lb for topwater and have been happy with it and suspect you might be fine, but if you end up not liking it sufix is what I've been using and would recommend.

Can't comment on either braid as I haven't used either.  I can say I like your idea of using a Hi-Vis line.  I started fishing at 6 with a Mitchell 300 and fiberglass rod.  We fished nightwalkers, leeches, crayfish, and grubs off the bottom.  Line watching was a must.

🤣  Guess I didn't word that properly.  Haven't fished those baits in about 60 years.

I use 832 in lime geeen onmy rods because my eye site has gone down hill in the last few years. I also like vicious no fade braid in hi vis yellow.
