Mystery Shimano Curado Part.... CU-200B?

I lucked into a  box of Curado reel parts, which came to me marked as "Curado 200B".   There are many little parts in it, some of which I recognize.

However, this little black felt doodad eludes me.   Attached is a pic of the mystery part alongside a spool tension cap for size reference.   The little doodad appears to me to be the same diameter as the copper disc inside the spool tension knob.   It is very thin and very flexible.  Not sure what material it is constructed of, but again it's very thin and very flexible.

A spacer that goes under the copper piece inside the spool tension cap?   There are other similar pieces in the box which are larger in diameter but again I don't know what they are either.

Thanks!

Goes inside the tension control knob over the metal disk

Huh.   I would have guessed it went under the metal disc.  Metal on metal contact.   Huh.

Thanks!!!
