anybody got any real life reviews? Ive watched some you tube reviews but its hard to tell. i know it has limitations cmpared to full on livescope but i thought maybe for an old guy (me) who would rather fish old school methods and has limited time to invest in it but may want to dabble it may be a decent solution.

I was able to find a Cabelas that had it in stock and get out with it twice before temps got below freezing where I am at.  I was always hard pressed to spend as much on the Livescope and Active Target since I would need to upgrade batteries as well, so it seemed like a no brainer to give this a go.  I was able to hook up to my 12v battery that came with my boat and run 6+ hours and had zero issues with battery life.  To me, it worked perfectly! In some instances, I was even able to see the clear outline of a smallmouth out to like 50 feet which seemed crazy to me.  I was throwing a three-inch minnow style bait and was still able to see it.  Getting a bait out to 80 ish feet I would have some inconsistency picking up my lure but based off what I have seen in videos, it looks like that still happens with the higher priced livescope systems. Again, I haven't had an opportunity to use those systems so if it is 100% comparable, I am not sure.  I know instead of having three beams, you only have one but that one beam was still more than enough to have clear sight picture and good target separation with what was in front of my boat.  In the end, this system in two days on the water was able to help me skyrocket on quantity of fish caught and quality. Hope this helps give some insight for you!
