big c is very cool Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I just bought some spider wire and even though its freezing i went and used it in my river. the hard part i found is that it will split at the end making it hard to tie the lures to it. Does anyone have a way of making it easier to tie the knot or am i the only one who has this problem? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 5, 2007 Super User Posted February 5, 2007 You will need to buy a very sharp pair of scissors. I recommend using either the Braid Knot or a Palomer Knot. Although I have other issues with braid and no longer use it, I never had any problems using either of these knots. Some will suggest using Super Glue on the knot, but I never found it necessary. HPBB Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 first use a polamar knot and buy a good set a "super line" scissors ones that are made for braided line. I get mine at Gander mountain, In the fly fishing section for $5 work great and last a long time. sound like you were ripping or tareing, not cutting the line what were you useing to cut the line?
