Super User Scott F Posted December 8, 2024 Super User Posted December 8, 2024 Years ago, I worked in a retail store. During Christmas, Christmas music played non-stop. I got so sick of it, to this day, almost 40 years later, I still can’t stand listening to any Christmas music. 2 1 2 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted December 8, 2024 Super User Posted December 8, 2024 The days of Franks Sinatra & Bing Crosby Christmas music have long past. And some might feel like they are gone forever. Heard this one the other day #polaropposite https://youtu.be/D5zBF-zPXpU?feature=shared A-Jay 4 Quote

Eric 26 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 I turn into a blubbering idiot every time I first hear “little drummer boy” especially by Bob Seger but I’ll listen to any version I can find with a close second being David Bowie & Bing Crosby. I also play Trans Siberian Orchestra in my work truck at this point. 3 Quote

I’m right there with you. 18 years of it from November 26 to December 25, 12 to 14 hours a day. But, so I don’t appear to be calloused, I don’t mind Leon Redbone’s Frosty the Snowman. 😏 Quote
Susky River Rat Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Bing Crosby had a voice of gold for me at Christmas time. I do like Mary did you know by penatinox there is so much emotion behind that when they preform it. 1 Quote

One of the stations I Iisten to all year (classic rock) turns their music to holiday crap around Nov 15 through New Years. It’s awful. I’d rather listen to AM fuzz than holiday music. Quote

Super User Spankey Posted December 9, 2024 Super User Posted December 9, 2024 I sort of like all the stuff that the rockers put their touch to. I can’t set there and listen to any Christmas music for hours on end, but I like popular and classic Christmas songs that are associated with the holiday also. Quote

"The Christmas Song" by Nat King Cole is my favorite album. It has a lot of the "classic" Christmas carols that I love so much. 2. "A Family Christmas" by Andrea Bocelli, his son, and his grand daughter is one of our favorites too. I can't listen to it on repeat, but it's very precious a few times a year. 3. "Smoky Mountain Christmas" by Al Perkins. Very nice, upbeat bluegrass instrumental album I used to listen to as a child and still enjoy. Honorable mention to Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Saw them live as a teenager and still love remembering that moment. 1 Quote
