Guest MJPRICE Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Went to BPS last nite and saw the new Pro Qualifier spinning rods and reels. Are these any good? Do they hold up well? Any info would be appreciated. Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted February 2, 2007 Super User Posted February 2, 2007 You're likely not going to find a ton of people who will endorse 'house brand' reels from BPS, Cabelas, etc simply because getting maintenance done on them is very difficult. They may be good reels for a while, but if/when problems arise you're likely looking at needing to buy a replacement. You're best off just spending the money on whatever Daiwa or Shimano is available in that price range. Quote
Super User Raul Posted February 2, 2007 Super User Posted February 2, 2007 The ProQualifier rod is an very good rod, just a step below BPS ' top of the line JM rod. ProQualifier reels, I can 't say anything , I don 't purchase BPS brand reels. Quote
HomersTomaco Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 i doubt your going to get an answer if they hold up since they have been out a month. But they do cast very far. Quote
Bluecraw Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I have one of the Pro Qualifer rods with a Garcia Revo SX on it. The rod is very good for the money....it's no G-Loomis, but it's better than the BPS XPS and Bionic Blade series rods. I like it and will probably get another one. Don't know about the reels....sorry. Quote
