Looks like lots more headed this way next week too. In the thick of it now. Do you have a snow blower Jar? How is your injured leg doing these days? Quote

Yeah thankfully I have a 28” Ariens that makes quick work of it. It’s primed and ready. And the leg is just about 100% now. I have what should be my last session of physical therapy on Monday. Tiny bit of pain here and there but I’m back to normal life. Thanks for asking. 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted February 9 Super User Posted February 9 About 7” overnight. Finished clearing the driveway, now I’m sipping coffee and enjoying the snow day. It was all powder so a very easy removal job. Another winter storm is gearing up to hit us again in a few days. Right now we’re at 27 snow events for a total of about 38”. 2 Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted February 9 Super User Posted February 9 We were right on the edge of snow and rain/sleet. It started as sleet for a half hour and then went big fluffy flakes which dropped 2-3” in a half hour. Then finished with an inch of glass pellet sleet. It compressed down to about 3” depth but the top was so crusted I slid a gallon jug of washer fluid across the top of it and didn’t leave a mark. Fortunately the fluffy underneath wasn’t glued to the pavers so the snow blower sorted it all out. Good too because it’s dropping to low teens tonight and going to be cold for a few days. Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted February 10 Super User Posted February 10 We are under another winter storm warning. 6 to 8 inches tomorrow and Wednesday. I just got back from 7 days of 82degree weather fishing in Florida. Had to drive through some treated roads getting back to Virginia from another storm so I’m off the get the undercarriage of the truck cleaned off and all the sand and grime from Florida. Being retired, I’ll put the cover on the truck and wait for the melt. 🤣 Quote

Super User Jar11591 Posted February 10 Super User Posted February 10 Getting slammed lately. Lots of snow over the weekend with even more expected later this week. Wednesday-Sunday looks like it’s gonna be a monster snow and ice storm. I really hope all this snow in February means a light March. False spring gets me every year though. Quote

Many parts of the country are drought stricken. I'd personally rather get rain than snow, but sometimes beggars can't be choosers here. 2 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted February 10 Super User Posted February 10 @gim this is true. And come spring I’ll be happy about the elevated water levels and all those nice new laydowns that become fishable. 1 Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted February 10 Super User Posted February 10 I sure hope so. The medium sized lake down the road is still 20’ low and the ramp is unusable. Water levels this low plus the 8 degree highs for a week are what killed the grass in that lake. It had t come back at all last year and then this again. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 10 Global Moderator Posted February 10 They are predicting a flood here over the next couple weeks, pretty typical 1 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 10 Global Moderator Posted February 10 I do, but I meant a flood is typical in February. Really it’s pretty typical for any month but October . We get 13 inches of rain more than Seattle per year Quote

Super User TOXIC Posted February 12 Super User Posted February 12 Well, we got slammed again and more on the way tonight and later in the week. Next is rain and sleet. I’d rather still be in Florida, the spawn was just starting when we left. 1 Quote
Super User bowhunter63 Posted February 12 Super User Posted February 12 Mother Nature didn’t get my memo Snow again in SW Missouri. Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted February 12 Super User Posted February 12 we got lucky that the storm stayed south. I only have a inch and a half to clear today. With 4-8 more this weekend. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 12 Global Moderator Posted February 12 Pouring rain here for 2 days without stopping, some schools are cancelled Quote
Super User Bird Posted February 12 Super User Posted February 12 Haven't seen my yard in weeks which is rare here. Plowed Snow 3 times so far which is more than I have in the last 5 or 6 years combined. It should help with the 2 year drought. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted February 13 Global Moderator Posted February 13 5” last night with another 5-8” coming tomorrow night into Saturday morning. Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted February 13 Super User Posted February 13 I'm augering around Eastern MA/Plymouth and find ice getting thinner the closer to the Sagamore Bridge (the gateway to Cape Cod) I get. Ice was 4-5" five miles from the bridge and 3" at best one mile out. I nabbed one SMB and one yellow perch yesterday. The smallie bit a 1/4 oz blade bait and the perch ate a shiner off a tip up. Cape Cod hasn't frozen in the last few years. I'm hoping for open water by mid March. 1 Quote
