Super User A-Jay Posted December 28, 2024 Super User Posted December 28, 2024 Warm and rain up here to. Snow not gone yet but I expect it to be before the cold comes back. Feel like late March not late December. A-Jay Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted December 28, 2024 Author Super User Posted December 28, 2024 Ya, that's what we're getting here - what little snow we got is almost gone and today's high is predicted to be 41. Then the bottom drops out again with Thursday night being 6 and Friday being 14. Crazy weather, dude. 1 Quote

Woulda been a decent amount of snow if it had been about 10 degrees colder. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 28, 2024 Global Moderator Posted December 28, 2024 I read the other day on Dec. 26th 2019 it was 61* here. Quote

Super User Jar11591 Posted December 28, 2024 Super User Posted December 28, 2024 Already several measurable snowfalls this year in my neck of the NY woods, and when it isn’t snowing, it’s been frigid cold. Lakes have been locked up for a couple weeks. Total opposite of last year. I’ve been cooped up since August healing from a broken leg. Gonna go crazy before February. Quote

Well, I detailed, polished & waxed the rig before I put into hibernation. Reels are already cleaned, lubed & respooled. Organization is a never ending and on going process. But I am still prepping a bunch of reels for re-sale after the new year. A-Jay 1 Quote

Super User Mobasser Posted January 3 Super User Posted January 3 We'll be getting our first sizeable snowfall in my area starting tomorrow, and going all day Sunday. Predicting possible up to 12". I'm prepared with salt, shovel etc. And, I've got plenty of coffee. Bring it on. 2 Quote
Super User gim Posted January 3 Super User Posted January 3 23 minutes ago, Mobasser said: Predicting possible up to 12" If you receive 12 inches of snow, you will have already eclipsed the total snowfall here this winter. This happened to us last winter too. Much further south of us received more snow than we did, which I find to be very strange. Its cold here, but there is no white stuff on the ground and there is none in sight. The storm you are about to receive is going completely south of me. 1 Quote

They're supposed to get more ice/sleet than we are. Still, it's a prediction for now. I've seen these big storms split and not amount to much when they get here. I'm surprised you guys haven't had more snow? We'll see how it all pans out for us tomorrow afternoon. Quote

We're about a foot behind average thus far here in the Twin Cities. We got about 3-4 inches the week before Christmas, but it warmed up and rained, so it all melted. Has to be miserable if you own a snowmobile. It just sits there waiting to be used... 1 Quote
volzfan59 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Here in southeast Arkansas it’s supposed to be 61 today, not sure about tomorrow. Severe storms, possibly tornadoes on Sunday then the bottom is supposed to drop out temperature wise. Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted January 5 Super User Posted January 5 We are getting our first real taste of winter today. Areas south of us are getting freezing rain, but right now we are getting a light mix of sleet and snow. Later on it is suppose to turn into all snow with between 4"-10" accumulation. 1 Quote

We got sleet/ ice yesterday, noe getting hammered with snow. KC Mo is almost shut down now. Predicting 12" by tonight. We're staying in and hunkering down. 2 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 5 Global Moderator Posted January 5 Pouring rain here, snow would be a welcome change compared to 33 degree rain Quote
Super User bowhunter63 Posted January 5 Super User Posted January 5 Same here in SW Missouri . Even a little thunder to go along with it 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted January 5 Global Moderator Posted January 5 What the heck is Winter Storm Blair? You southerners name your winter storms? To be fair, we do too……we call it winter. 😂 5 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted January 6 Super User Posted January 6 According to the local national weather service, the home team here has accumulated 102.9 inches of snow so far this winter. We like that. Only need 4 more feet and we'll be at the seasonal average. A-Jay 1 Quote
