Can some of you guys recommend a good topwater rod?  I want to use it for topwater specifically.  I am willing to spend $200 or less.  I am about 6'1" and need something I can work good from a boat deck.

Thanks

I have never found a good topwater rod. Any rod I have dropped off the boat always sank like a rock NONE OF EM EVER FLOATED

Take a look at the St.Croix Avid AC66MF. Although the Action is desceibed as Fast, the tip is soft. This is what I consider my "all-around" baitcasting rod for medium weight treble hook lures. I have this matched up with a fast reel and use this combination for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, too.

Dan,

Look at you...Castaway?

Mr. Dan is a Kistler Man, to suggest another rod is really a big statement...

I think you probably ought to step up a few dollars and take Lightninrod's advice and get yourself a Kistler Medium Helium baitcaster.
