I am debating which I should get. Anyone have experience with both? Anyone have the weight of the 7’1M?

What are your intended techniques? I previously owned the 7’1 and currently own the 7’6.

Haven’t fished the 7’1” but really like 7’6”. Seems really light for a rid of that length. Have also fished 1/4 hair jig up to a half oz jig with plastic on it. Don’t typically like the more moderate action rods, but it actually fills that spot very well for me.

1/4-3/8 finesse jigs, shakyhead. Is there a difference in sensitivity between the 2 rods? Also which rod is heavier in terms of weight? What made you get rid of the 7’1 and get the 7’6?

They are both sensitive, if I had to split hairs the 7’6 is like .00001% more sensitive to me. I picked up a 852s for what you’re talking about and the Steez just didn’t get used enough.

If you’re not interested in an NRX for what you’re needing I feel like the 7’1 is slightly better suited. The 7’6 is significantly more versatile though. I throw neds, neko, cranks, free rig, drop shot, and finess swim jigs/swim baits on mine. Weight wise the 7’1 will be lighter but again you’re splitting hairs. The AGS rods are super light.

😂 0.00001%, that’s very precise! Did you get to weigh both the 7’6 and the 7’1? Or the 7’1 was lighter in your hand?

Hate to butt in like this, but have any of you who’ve used the steez ags also used Dobyn’s champion extreme line? How does the sensitivity compare between the two?

The 76 mml rod is amazing. Theyre both amazing but the 76 does so much for river smallies.

The 7-6 ML/M is the one you want. The 7-1 is a very powerful stick and reminds me of a 852S. I fished the 7-6 and could not find a technique it could not do. You can fish light baits and you can fish a vision 110. If I wasn't a gear junky I would sell all my spinning rods and buy two of these and call it a day.
