Ohioguy25 Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 If so, is there a way to rig it similarly yourself for cheaper? If not, has anyone found a solution? I find myself having to adjust every cast when it bunches up. I superglue the nose end to keep that in place on the 4/0 gammy EWGs, would that work on rear end as well or would that interfere with hooksets? Quote
softwateronly Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=20&searchtext=silicone+stopper You can try these, I'd go XL if on the back of the hook so it does move if needed on a hookset. If you go on the front end, maybe a L. It's a guess, I got them a few years ago and no longer need them for what I wanted and forgot what I learned. scott 1 Quote
Junger Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 I've been using these on paddletails, especially Keitechs which are softer rubber and tend to start sliding after catching a fish. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Rapid_Fishing_Solutions_Rapid_Hook_All/descpage-RAPIDH.html I think I saw a YT video that you can DIY these with a hole punch from plastic container type material. 2 Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted November 11, 2024 Super User Posted November 11, 2024 I use size large bobber stops on thin wire hooks. I carry them anyway so why not use them. You have to use pliers and tact to get them on, but they do a great job. 1 Quote

I use this too. It's very effective. I have the smaller version. Have also tried some BKK hooks. They come with their own silicone keeper. Very nice. I also have an assortment of JDM silicone stoppers. 1 Quote
looking45 Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 I use theses heads for 2 1/2”-5” paddle tails. The lake I fish doesn’t have many snags, thus the exposed hook. I’ll lose the head and the bait will get torn up before it slides down the hook. Gave some to a couple of friends and they’re using them now Quote
