Been using mostly Powerpro but on slow moving senko type baits I would like to use a floro type of line.

Tried using floro last year but the memory was so bad that it was hard to consistently cast the stuff.

Are any of these newer Co or Hys any good?

Anybody use P-Line Halo yet?

Still searching for that perfect line.

Welcome aboard!

I suggest that you try Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft and see how you like this line. It is not a pure fluorocarbon, but a bonded nylon/fluoro copolymer. If memory and strength are your primary issues, I think you will like Ultra Soft, I do!

I found myself in the same predicament.  I used braid for senkos, but I didn't like how the braid would float, thus altering the fall of the senko.  So I switched to mono.  Though mono floats, the surface resistance was less then it was with the braid and the senko's natural fall was not as disturbed.  But, there was a problem with the stretch of the mono that I didn't like.  I moved onto floro.  The floro had low stretch and sunk, which I thought would be perfect for senkos.  The floro worked well, but as you mentioned, it would coil up and watching the line for subtle movements was a little more challenging.  Therefore, I have come to the following set-up for my senkos.  I use braided line, but add a floro leader to it.  The floro leader sinks with the senko and I have the low stretch, low memory braid (which I can see easier) floating on the surface.  I haven't been using this combination long, but it seems like the solution I have been looking for.

I use this setup on my carolina rig.  Never thought about it for my senkos.  How do you attach the two lines? barrel swivel?  how long is your flourocarbon leader?  What strength do yall use?

Anyone else use this setup for the same technique?

Did that before last year, BUT I've lost fish with this one more point of failure (another knot), and given you have this place with the lines meet,  that clicks in the eye.   You don't want your leader too long, but if not long enough... really isn't helping much.   I find myself not retying as often as I should because now my leader is getting shorter.   Yes it works but to me isn't ideal either.

May have to try Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft, but hopefully the stretch isn't too bad.

I have used several different brands of Fluorocarbon lines and finally gave the new Gamma brand a try.  It has the least amount of memory of any I have used and that includes P-line, Triple Fish, Stren, and BPS.  The Gamma is expensive but so far I am not fighting the memory problems.  A little over a year and I like it.  Use it exclusively for all my Plastics.  Good stuff.

ive been useing p-line cxx moss green //// love it .... i use it for senkos and jigs .... the memory is there but not as bad as a flour ... i mainly use the 15lb ... it has been a great line little stretch but not much ... or enough to mess a hook set ...  try it ,,, no need for a leader with the p-line cxx  ;D

iIs there a new floro with low memory?

If it lacks memory, then it lacks fluorocarbon.

Reducing the memory of fluorocarbon is what inspired copolymer lines (hybrid lines).

By blending nylon with fluorocarbon you end up with line-memory somewhere between the two (there's no magic).

Try Sunline Defier.  If you think Gamma is expensive.      Sunline is real expensive..

Ditto.  That pretty much covers it.
