Forgive me if this has been beat to death but which is the "better" reel for an "all around" BC?  The SLXA is $ 99.00 which the price is nice but is the CT worth the extra $ 50.00?

Personally, I don't think you are comparing apples to apples. I think the SLX XT with it's external brake adjustment aligns more with the Tatula CT.

When comparing the SLX to something, I usually go to the Fuego.

As it were though, whether or not to jump to a CT over the SLX A,.... It depends how you plan to use it. Cast and reel, SLX. Pitching and wanting better cast control,... Tatula CT

Never tried the SLX A, wasn’t impressed with the original SLX. I did love my SLX XT though. The Tatula CT is okay as well. Getting up to that price range though, I’ll grab an Alphas SV from Japan over a Tatula.

The SLX A is priced very odd, for the $25 more for the XT the price jump is worth it.

And those Tatula CT's go on sale often for $125.

I have both reels I like the SLX A better, but it's just personal preference. Is there an XT A out yet? If so that might be the ticket.

One thing to remember - the Tatula CT is just a Fuego CT with the T-Wing....otherwise they're identical...so compare the SLX with the Fuego.

The Tatula CT was $129 in 2016.  It also had the paddle knobs like the Tatula HD reels have.

Randy, you can find the 2024 Tatula 100 for $120.01 on Amazon right now. I will take the Tat over the SLX A every time and I own both.
