Super User Koz Posted October 5, 2024 Super User Posted October 5, 2024 I just saw that TW is opening a store location in Alpharetta, GA and has its grand opening October 17th - 20th. That’s about 2 hours from me, so if I decide not to go to Caddo that week I may have to check it out. 2 Quote
ironbjorn Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 I live about the same distance from American Legacy Fishing. It's awesome going into the store. 1 Quote
GRiver Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 I didn’t know they had an actual store…. With a structure. I have always thought they were just an on-line store. Quote

Their website doesn’t show any physical locations, but they made an announcement on X about the grand opening in Alpharetta. 1 Quote
GRiver Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Wonder if it’s going to have aquariums and all that, some of theses places are pretty elaborate. Quote

I've got a BPS 45 minutes away. There are a couple small mom/pop shops, but they're too small to carry a big variety of brand name product. 1 Quote

I’m lucky that a marina close to work has a very good tackle shop. I’ve even purchased a few rods and a reel there as they were the same price as TW. 2 Quote
Super User gim Posted October 6, 2024 Super User Posted October 6, 2024 I’m definitely more of an in person shopper. If there was a tackle warehouse near me I’d visit it. I have never had a good experience ordering stuff from them online. Quote
Junk Fisherman Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 I remember when the BPS opened in the Chicagoland area. It was such a big deal. Now I go there maybe once or twice a year. 1 Quote
Super User GreenPig Posted October 6, 2024 Super User Posted October 6, 2024 1 hr 51 mins or 109.1 miles from me. Visit I will. Thanks Koz. 1 Quote

Super User MN Fisher Posted October 6, 2024 Super User Posted October 6, 2024 2&1/2 hours from me....by air. Not even close to worth it, especially since I don't even shop the online store anymore. 1 Quote
Smirak Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 About 3 hrs from me, but worth the drive. Plenty of other things in the area I can get into…like a few naked dogs from The Varsity… I know my orders from TW have generally (or maybe always) shipped from Alpharetta. Quote
Goby Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Love TW, wish they would build something like that in Northern Michigan... Quote

I’ve been there a couple times. It’s a great little shop, but my Tundra’s gas mileage makes it cost prohibitive for most of what I need. 1 Quote
