papajoe222 Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 I just lost a Hot Lips that I’ve had for decades. Sad to say, it was the only one I had. I’m looking to replace it, but I know that. Rapala bought them. So I’m wondering how the newer products measure up. Quote
Super User Solution Spankey Posted October 5, 2024 Super User Solution Posted October 5, 2024 I would say it probably will be close. I’ve fished and caught fish with quite a hand full of the newer Storm Wiggle warts. I believe there is something about the older originals but it might be a mental thing. My old ones I put up and stopped fishing. You’ll find it. Some of my best producing Bombers are not available any more. Quote

I not sure what the color pattern was called, but it was a Shad imitator. It got down to running depth quick (I used it to target the 12-15ft break line on a natural lake) and had a tighter wiggle than my favorite Bomber. Quote

I had glued 3D eyes on it a few seasons ago along with enlarging the red gills and adding a splash of red to the underside in front of the hook hanger. Quote
