YJsmitty Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Just wondering if anyone uses Pinnacle reels or have used Pinnacle reels and what do you think of them. Looking for some new reels and they look decent and are reasonably priced. By the way I was looking at the Inertia, Solene, and the Sentara. Thanks, Joseph Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted January 26, 2007 Super User Posted January 26, 2007 WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I can't help you on those reels. Quote
Fatman1267MM Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I would reccomend them to anyone. The only one i am wary of is the solene. I bought one of them and it didn't feel or sound right. I took it back and all of them seemed to have a problem. I have four pinnacles and absolutely love them. I have 3 vision metals and 1 janis metal. Quote
HPBB Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 They are good reels for the$$ I have several BC & spinning reels and like them very much. I really like their rods. Unlike another post, I did just pick up a new solene BC and do not have any problems with it. I am going to buy another solene soon. Just remember one thing. keep the boxes they come in, if they need cleaned any reel shop can do that, but if they need fixed, you will have to send them back to pinnacle. Pinnacle doesn't send out parts. So keep the boxes, makes it easy to ship back if need be. Quote
YJsmitty Posted January 26, 2007 Author Posted January 26, 2007 Thanks for all the help and the Welcome. Joseph Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I picked up the Extant HS metal baitcaster a couple of years ago and have really liked it. Smooth drag, quiet reel, casts a long way. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 26, 2007 Super User Posted January 26, 2007 I own some of the Pinnacle Matrix reels, the first ones they put out with 10 bearings......they are solid reels and silky smooth. I also have a Deadbolt Pro DBP10 low profile that is a very good reel. I dont have any problem with Pinnacle reels. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 26, 2007 Super User Posted January 26, 2007 Welcome aboard! It looks like you received the response you were looking for. Good luck! Quote

dukeintex Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Smitty I have the model PLS100 (8 bearings) and I am WELL pleased with it...very smooth. I bought it with the rod on sale at Academy. I think you will enjoy your Pinnacle. Good luck. Quote
volpster31 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 i purchased a pinnacle lucille last year & have used it a good bit...its o.k but for some reason it feel "cheap" compared to my shimano symetre...it performs good & it isnt cheaply made, but it doesnt have that SOLID feel that i expected when i ordered it. im not knocking it in any way because i do like it...i just dont know if id buy another one or not Quote
earthworm77 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 I used to run Deadbolts. I have 6 of them. They were great foir 2 full seasons and in the third, I had the gears crumbling on several of them. They were all $hitcanned in favor of Stradics. I wouldn't touch anything from that company again. Ever! Quote
