We just got home from your beautiful state.  It was my 50th of the 50.  We went to most of listed spots.  They were great.  I didn’t know what to expect.  There are 10000 picture post card spots.  We covered the coast, then went out on the water and finally inland.  There are so many beautiful places.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks, @Functional!

And thanks to you too, @Jig Man, for letting me know how much you enjoyed Maine. I was sitting outside with some friends three days ago and we all agreed that we didn't want to go anywhere else on vacation, that we're content here.

Maine is beautiful. Never got to fish there but it’s gorgeous. And unlike the stereotypes you see on TV and movies, pretty much every Mainer we met was as friendly as can be.

Not a huge lobster fan, but the fried clams were the best I’ve ever had. Washed down with an Allagash White. It was heaven.
