I have been a loyal, and probably one of Bass Pro Shops biggest rod fan's, I love all the ones I have (Extremes, Bionic Blades, and Cranking sticks) But today........gulp............I fell off the wagon, I bought 2 St Croix rods. 1 Premier 7' H, Fast, casting rod (PC70HF) and a Premier 7' ML, Fast spinning rod (PS70MLF).  To make matters worse.....I DID NOT BUY a Daiwa or BPS casting reel to put on the 7' H........I bought a Quantum Accurist............. this will be my c-rig set up.......if the other rods and reels I have can even tolerate beeing in the same boat with it. At least the spinning rod is not a total loss.........I bought a Pflueger medalist reel to put on it........phew.......new boat and 2 new combos all in the same week, I better stop now before the house burns down.

Somehow I doubt that Johnny Morris will notice his wallet is .000000000000000000000000000000000000001" thinner.

I really like the feel of the Quantum reel, I have not owned a Quantum in over 10 years, I hope it was not a mistake. I came OH SO close to buying an Abu Garcia Revo S.......the only deal breaker was they were out of lefty's. They had plenty of Daiwa procasters........but so do I.......I just wanted something differant, best part of the whole deal, I only paid $75 each for the St Croix's, they had quite the sale going on, that choice was actually very easy.......thats only a few bucks more than the St Croix Triumphs they had for $70. This is going to be the longest winter EVER.......new boat, and a few new combo's to try.......man is it April yet?

Watch out man, I shopped for a couple of reels n 'rods back in 1984, then it took me another 10 years to purchase another couple of reels n 'rods and from 1994 until 2001 I did not purchase any rods n 'reels .......the last five years have been catastrophic.

If you see the mountain coming at you run as fast as you can, it 's a friggin ' landslide !  ;D
