I currently am using moss green 10# (Sufix 131) braid with a 25' mono leader. There are times when my old eyes simply can't see my line. Being that I'm using such a long leader, I'd guess that hi viz  braid shouldn't be a concern. Would I be correct?

I'm in the same situation. However, with the prices of line it's hard to make a choice.

I saw a spool of Sunline for $68.99! I couldn't tell you what type of line because the price shocked me so much that I had to move on.

I'm a fan of Sufix braid and have done well with the 832. The 131 took it to another level. At twice the price it's still worthy of consideration. It seems to do everything better than the 832. I'm not knocking 832. It works great but 131 works better. For line, I don't mind springing for the pricey stuff as long as it delivers.

If I need to see my line - Sufix 832 in yellow is my go-to. Put a leader on it and you're golden.

My eyes are a few years older than yours, and it's possible my eyes require stronger lenses.  I like Hi-Viz Yellow, but also have blue, white, pink, chartreuse and Hot Orange along with the standard green.

The Hi-Viz Yellow and Hot Orange are my favorite colors.  But then I am a fan of Siege Neon Tangerine.  :)

Try x9.  It's not as thin as they claim, but it's a very good handling and long casting line.  It casts better than 832, but doesn't hold up as long.  You still get a few years out of x9 if you flip the spool after the first 30 yards starts to get ropey.

Get vicious no fade yellow braid. You'll never have to flip it.ifvyoure worried about visibility color the end black. Leaders suck.

I’d agree  I’m a hi-vis long leader guy, too (spinning) per @A-Jay

My eyes are getting bad too but I find the the small diameter of the line use to be more of an issue than color. With that said, I bought some Suline Almight in pink to try out. The bright color does help, especially when tying on a leader.

I'm with you on the Hi Viz yellow braid and old eyes. I'm currently using 30# Power Pro but have been thinking about trying Sufix 832. I'm a leader guy too and usually keep leader length to +/-6 ft.  JMHO

It will be a while before I buy braid again since I loaded up at some point because of a sale on 832, but my next purchase will be of something of the “no fade” variety.

I am a Power Pro user.  I started with it many years ago and have never seen a reason to switch.  I use it in several sizes and only use white or yellow.

I too can’t see the dark green braid at all. Most of my reels have switched to the yellow. I always fish a leader but will darken some of the braid with a black sharpie as well. Just gives me more confidence that the yellow is out of the fishes cone of view.

PowerPro high visibility 10lb yellow on all my spinning rods. Use 6, 8, 10, or 12 lb fluoro leaders ranging from 2-5 feet in length. It has been a good set up for me.

All my casting rods are running braid, from 15-20 lbs.

Experimented with high visibility 10lb yellow on one casting rod...mated to 12 lb fluoro leader. This is my currently my favorite t-rigged worm set up.

Spool up some high visibility yellow!
