Guest the_muddy_man Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Thanks for th info. Burley I grew up with Pflueger Rods and Reels Pflueger and Mitchell were big upstate New York and very popular here. Maybe it is a regional thing. I can tell you that I once wrote them a letter ( Shakesphere Owns them now) about how much I liked the President Spinning Reel and they sent me a cool gear bag and Hat. None of my reels have never messed up which is why I went fom Mitchell to Pflueger in the first place. Now my experience has only been with spinning equipment but my friends use their baitcasters and they seem to be as reliable as the spinning reels. So when i an afford to buy some Pflueger Baitcasters I can give my first hand experience WHCIH IS BETTER THAN OPINION Quote
HPBB Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 : BassChaser57 You say you will "lick your wounds" if you want to throw those reels away go ahead( I'll take them, I'll send them to Pinnacle to get fixed and have two nice reels, sounds good to me).But your not reading all the post. You wanted to know how to get them fixed. 2 different people have told you how in all these posts. Those reels are made by Pinnacle(silstar) give them a call or go on there website. tell them what you have. I am sure they will have you send them in and they will fix them for you. It might cost you $15 for cleaning and shipping, but you would spend that much at any shop. I had the same problem with 2 reels that need fix. Send them to Pinnacle and they sent me 2 new reels. you asked for help, but don't seem to want to listen to some of it. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 26, 2007 Super User Posted January 26, 2007 Thats dissapointing to hear that cabelas will not stand behind there reels. I buy Bass Pro shops house brand reels, and they will stand behind them. 3 years ago I bought 2 extreme baitcasters, one of them had a small problem and needed a part at the begining of last season. Was told by BPS to send to outdoor world repair shop..........they sent me a brand new 06' Extreme to replace it, thats good enough for me. Quote
