I’ve fished a lot of different soft plastic craws and done well with quite a few. But there seems to be a vast gulf between a green pumpkin Rage Craw and all the others. I don’t know if it’s the color, the size, the action, or all of the above.  But they just simply produce. I’m going to make the Bait Monkey happy this week lol.

My waters see a 70° F temperature swing. That has a huge effect on what plastic craw will get bit.

Rage bugs/craws, hula grubs do really well in summer, but a pitboss, adrenaline bug work better early and later when the water cools.

Nothing works in the winter.

I'll add the paca craw/slim/chunk and Berkley chigger craw both of which have done really well for me - speed and rage stuff does the rest of the work In the craw department.

The more a soft plastic looks like a real crawdads the less effective it works where I fish. Tried the Rage craws several times the bass don’t react to the faster claw movements as well the simple double tail Yamamoto grubs and Berkley Chigger craws. Nothing works better for me then the #11 and L4 style pork trailer, plastic chunks not so good.

I’ve tried a few and keep coming back to Rage’s, full size and babies in white and pumpkin. The others are backups if I run out of the Rage’s.

Gene Larew 6" Hawg Craw & I can't explain why. It just catches bigs.

It's just a big ol chunk of plastic that big mama can't refuse.

I have the usual favorites the Zoom Super Speed Craw and the Berkeley Pit Boss. But I got a pack of the Strike King Rage Scounbug and I had very good results with it. If I continue to see the same results next time out I will buy a bunch more.

I use the Crush City Bronco Bug and Crush City Cleanup Craw. I don't know if they're the best, but I like the Crush City line.

Netbait Paca Craw is more effective for me than the Rage Craw in warm weather, and Zoom craw chunks in cold weather is better.
