BlakeMolone Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 a bit crude in its subject matter maybe but a good song that even includes some fishing. Does anyone else in here listen to Billy Strings? 1 1 Quote
Super User slonezp Posted August 31, 2024 Super User Posted August 31, 2024 Top 10 guitarist that ever lived, and I don't care for his Greatful Dead style. Talent nonetheless. He's very fortunate his band members are also at the top of their game. Quote

Super User N Florida Mike Posted September 3, 2024 Super User Posted September 3, 2024 I love his more traditional bluegrass tunes… I actually like a lot of anything he does tbh 1 Quote
Tim Kelly Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 I went to see him in London last year. Amazing musician. His set was one of his more prog rocky ones, which I don't prefer to his more classic bluegrass style, but it was a virtuoso night. Saw Molly Tuttle too, who is also extraordinarily talented. 2 Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted September 7, 2024 Super User Posted September 7, 2024 He's an amazing player, and as @slonezp alluded to, his entire band are aces. Some bluegrass traditionalists don't like it, but I love the way the guy refuses to be pigeonholed. He marches to his own beat, critics be damned. 1 1 Quote

Couldn't agree more, it’s amazing how “cool” and new they can make songs that are 100+ years old, they are doing great things for bluegrass. 1 Quote
Super User slonezp Posted September 11, 2024 Super User Posted September 11, 2024 I think this is one of their better performances which showcases the entire bands talent 1 Quote
