HighCountryBassAssassin Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Hey all, I am currently looking to dig further into aquatic plant identification. I believe having a better understanding of the aquatic plant life in my area would benefit me as an angler. I am in CO, but would be fine with just about any publications that include illustrations for identification help. I find myself naming every aquatic weed I see as Hydrilla, and I am aware that this is just not the case. I am planning on contacting CPW, but wanted to get input from the community as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Quote
Super User Solution Team9nine Posted August 28, 2024 Super User Solution Posted August 28, 2024 Florida DEP has one of the more extensive list of aquatic plant resources you can readily access: Resources link Since anglers are often most dealing with submerged aquatic vegetation, this particular presentation is one of the more detailed for identifying a wide variety of common aquatic plants: Submerged Aquatic Plants .PDF 2 1 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted August 29, 2024 Global Moderator Posted August 29, 2024 I had to do aquatic plant ID in college and it was a nightmare. It’s much easier to just ask @Team9nine what you are looking at 1 2 Quote
