It's pretty much cold here now.  It was in the 50s this morning at the pond with @FishTax and Jake (we could feel @LrgmouthShad and @IcatchDinkswith us in spirit)which for us hot blooded Southern boys is like stepping outside into a refrigerator.

We all had sweaters on!

We had a good false fall #2, in classic NC weather fashion we're expecting heat advisory in 2 days.

I'm slightly embarrassed to say that in the pictured morning I was quite cold. I was totally unprepared for those temperatures. But I also love them and can't wait for more of them 🙂

Katie those pictures are beautiful! Fishing is just the icing on the cake being in that spot.

I don't even consider the temperature the season anymore here in NC.  It's 60 in January and 50 in August plenty!  😂😂😂

The waning daylight hours is all I need to see.  We fallin' 😎🍂

Honestly - these little warm fronts that typically accompany the fall emerging are definitely your friend when it comes to fishing - ride the wave.  🏄🏼‍♂️🏄🏼‍♂️🏄🏼‍♂️

I'm so glad you appreciate the beauty. There are times I stop fishing and just witness...and smile.

I wanted to ride the wave this morning, but the rain forecast was changed to thunderstorms. So, it'll be tomorrow morning in the fog...again, which is more than fine, for I love fog fishing. It lets me be even sneakier. I'll be casting a big swimbait. Fingers crossed for a big gal!

Thanks, buddy! I love how we encourage each other although we're separated by a continent. Thousands of miles away, we're bound by a love of angling.
