Tackleholic Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 I'm about to order a Daiwa BFS rod and reel; my first venture into this. I'm looking for line suggestions. My first thought is 8 or 10# braid with a 6# fluoro. leader. My second thought is straight 6# fluorocarbon; straight braid is not an option due to ultra clear water. Any helpful suggestions appreciated. Quote
Super User WRB Posted August 29, 2024 Super User Posted August 29, 2024 Depends on the fish you are targeting, FC or Copoly line suggesting .0070-0085 diameter, trout .0040-0060D. 5 lb is available in Tatsu FC and 5 lb Maxima Copoly UG (measures .0075D). Tom Quote
