Except for #20 Shooter (soon to be 25#)

I use Sniper exclusively from 12# to 20# on every combo I own except 2.

Tatsu is touted as the best, and it probably is for certain things, but Sniper is too close to it overall to change.

I admit Tatsu is the exception. I received a couple of Amazon Gift Cards for Christmas last year and put it into a 22lb spool of Tatsu. I jig fished with it for a bit and liked it a lot. There was enough for another spool and I currently have that for c-rigging. Tatsu is the best and it is softer line. Invisx is another great line but it has more stretch and doesn’t hold up to abrasion as good as Sniper.

Yep

I tried InvisX one time but it’s stretch is too close to mono which I won’t even look at.

Thats why fir me Sniper and for certain conditions Shooter is the best overall

I've converted to sniper as my favorite leader, usually 15-25' of 10lb & 14lb.  Tremendous knot strength (fg,sdj), diameter, "stretch", feel, and price and good enough abrasion resistance; took me too long to make the move.  Still working thru my fc 100 in 20 & 25lb, but will probably give sniper a shot in that range when it's time.

If you’re wanting to go up in diameter solely for more abrasion resistance, give Shooter a try.

You’ll lose only a minimum of workability

What’s the difference between sniper and shooter??

I got Shooter FC Sniper Invisible from Japan last year and I really like that line.  16lbs for chatterbaits, spinnerbaits and crankbaits.     Where does that line sit within shooter and sniper?

Sniper is more manageable, casts farther  better for all sizes on the lower end, and the more subtle of the 2 when fishing in weather extremes.
I was told by an Elite Pro that it’s the better choice for spinning gear.
I don’t use spinning gear but it’s makes sense.
In my opinion it’s the best overall fishing line made for most all presentations

Shooter will sink a little faster, has much more abrasion resistance, less stretch and personally think its a little more sensitive of the 2.
I use it for heavy flipping and pitching over braid whenever I can.

I never used the Sniper Invisible

@MiceNReets I have been using Sunline Invisible for a couple of seasons now and it has become my go to fluorocarbon line. It is some how different from Sniper and Shooter. Regular Sniper seems softer and Shooter is harder depending on which pound test you use. Invisible seems more durable and longer lasting but still casts easily. I have caught several 5lb+ largemouth on 5lb line with a BFS setup and I have also caught a 25lb+ catfish on 10lb. This line continues to hold up well after each catch.

The odd one from Sunline is Sniper BMS. It too is different from the everything else. It has a sight marking system that lets a portion of the line shine out of water and its really bright with polarized sunglasses.  Under water, it's pretty much invisible.  It's slightly stiffer to me and a little less durable.

I just have the sunline invisible on my moving baits rod and really like the line.  I’m thinking I’ll have to grab some in 10-12lbs to try more.    Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the info.  I don’t use spinning nearly enough but I’ll have to give the sniper a try on it.
