There are lakes around me. Lets use Rough River Lake as an example. I don't know how to access it. How do I find out where I can fish it, where are the put ins, where I can bank fish.

All of the places I know currently, someone showed me. I don't know how to search or find info on a new to me spot other than knowing someone that will show me.

Thanks for the help.

Look for bridges and boat ramps on a map.  Almost all the bridges in GA have a way down to the river or lake.

Bridges are iffy here. Most of the bridges are on private land, and technically I'd be trespassing. Most bridges don't have anywhere to park either, so I'd have to park on the shoulder, and that is frowned upon except for the back roads.

I had a friend tell me about a bridge/creek; he gave me the location, I asked if it was private property; he said "I don't know, probably, but no one has ever said anything to me."

Go to http://fw.ky.gov. Go to the fishing section and find places to fish. It will at least tell you where the boat ramps are on lakes and rivers. You can get a lot of other information once you get in to it.
