boat is totaled

On July 4th we had what they say were 70 mph straight line winds come through. It flipped over our dock and 23 other boats.

When the old Triton came down it must have landed upside down and broke every latch so I lost a bunch of rods and tackle. It also tore off 4 graphs and made a pretzel out of the Ultrex. 

It's a 2015 and the best part about that boat was it was paid for. I will say, the insurance co. has been fair. Luckily I had taken out extra coverage on contents. Standard coverage is 3k, I had 10k and still topped it out but it might be something for everyone to be aware of .

Really sorry to hear you lost your rig.

We all hope to never need to get our premium payments back in the form of replacement but are so glad we have that option if needed.

So are we going shopping ?

With retirement on the horizon the last thing I wanted to do was buy a boat. 

No chance I will buy a new one . Maybe a used Ranger or another Champion.

Lol, probably not but after 50 years on Table rock I don't have the courage to get out among them in a canoe.

That sucks. Glad insurance is doing you right and no one was hurt. Almost looked into that area when we started our retirement home search (Beaver L, Branson to Mountain Home area). That area does seem to get a lot of severe weather, though.

I just Googled it. 800 miles of shoreline. More than 67 square miles. Yeah, no place for a canoe.

Well it was as you figured when we connected last week.  I am sorry that it is totaled.  If I see anything that I think you might be interested in I will let you know.  I assume that you want a 20’.  Single or double console?

Thanks I appreciate you keeping a eye out. yes, 19 or 20. I'm open on the console but my wife is partial to the dual, it gives her something to hold onto with one hand and punch me in the arm with the other.

Ulrich has a used Skeeter on the way , I've never owned one but I will have a look when it's ready.

I sent all 3 titles to the salvage company yesterday. They will pick it up from Matt at Dyna prop this week.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your boat.

Also an inconvenience of replacing everything..... takes time.

 

An area I've never skimmed on is insurance and unfortunately had to use it on several occasions.

Thanks for all the kind words. I have to admit I got a little misty when the divers got it loose from the wreckage and it was bobbing around upside down. I really liked that boat.

But, this too shall pass.
