Hey guys,

I was looking at either the Loomis Spinner bait serier or the St. Croix spinnerbait series.  Im leaning towards the loomis but I was wondering if anyone had any preferences towards one or the other, any feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Welcome aboard!

When you changed your profile, the system registers you as an ex-member. I'll try to get that fixed for you.

Regarding the rod. I fish both brands, but if it were me I would go with the Loomis SJR843S. If you prefer a shorter rod, the SJR783S is 6 1/2' equivalent.

Fellas, I think he is looking for a spinnerbait rod, not a spinning rod.  I owned an SBR Loomis, and ended up liking the tip on my 843's better for spinnerbaits.  It's like the mbr843 was designed for spinnerbaits...I have found nothing better.  Fat Fish has the IMX 843 for $170ish.

Thanks for all your input.  I was looking at their spinnerbait series not a spinning rod, but I will take a look at the 843 though.

I use a 6'4" Falcon Lowrider spinnerbait rod and it works great.
