andrewtkd Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 Hey everyone! Anyone have any recommendations for public lakes in Gwinnett County Georgia? Fairly new to the area and looking for good spots. I have tried Tribble Mill, Briscoe, and Lenora park Quote
Super User Koz Posted July 25, 2024 Super User Posted July 25, 2024 Bank or boat? Lake Lanier is great for spotted bass if you don't mind the boat traffic. Hartwell, Allatoona, and West Point Lake aren't that far away as well. Quote

It was a fun place! 1 Quote

flatcreek Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 That could be a new rule that I’m not aware of. I’ll check with a friend that lives right outside the gate and report back. Quote
flatcreek Posted July 25, 2024 Posted July 25, 2024 He said bank fishing is allowed. Fishing from bridges, park docks golf course banks, and Evergreen pavilion is prohibited Quote

flatcreek Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 There are plenty of old trails left on that lake that my friends and I blazed as youngsters back in the sixties. i still take my boat over there a couple times a year, mainly in Spring.10 hp motor maximum restriction. I remove my prop and use trolling motor only and that’s allowed .I caught a couple 5’s and 4’s in there this past Spring but the cormorants have done some damage be advised. Good luck Quote
