how do you fish your senkos?

for me i use either a 3/0 or 4/0 ewg gammy hook with those fish catching senko's and i leave them texas rigged with no weight, but a small bullet weight might be something ill try when the spring rolls around

when i wacky rig i use Falcon "K" Wacky Hooks... absolutely the best waky hook on the market (in my opinion  )

I like the Wacky Rig best of all. I experimented quite a bit with different hooks and settled for a Gammy 2/0 octopus circle hook to go with a 4" or 5" Senko. I also use those o-rings to keep them on the hook. It's been working great! No jerking required, just start reeling them in.

For t-rigging I use a Gammy 3/0 EWG and always fish them weightless.

I like to cast them weightless w/4/0 Gammy on top of cover, lilly pads, logs, etc. and let them fall gently off the edge.

I seem to get bit more on darker colors. Watermelon flake & june bug have been my top producing colors, but if your having a tough bite, don't hesitate to throw a white or green one.

Wide-gap hooks, size 3/0 and 4/0, respectively. I'm usually fishing weed cover and rig them weightless and Texposed, skin-hooked if necessary.

I usally fish them weightless with gamakatsu EWG 3/0 or 4/0. I use just about any where if it is shallow enough and my most productive color is watermelon seed.

If I find that the bass are fairly active, I will use a 3/0 gammie and a 5inch watermelon flake senko in daylight.  At night I like the black with blue flake senko.  If the bite is a little tough, I will scale the hook down to a size 1 offset shank worm hook, allowing for a slower fall.  If that doesn't work I'll try a wacky rig which I still use the size 1 hook for.

I always start off with a weightless t-rig.  Generall an owner 3/0 or 4/0wide gap.

The reason I always start with the trig is because it works very well on the fall, is more weedless than a wacky rig. And most importantly there are times when the bass want the senko swimming or fished like a jerkbait.  Yesterday afternoon, I was hammering them off the bank popping the senko like a hollow body frog.  I would vary the retrieve form drop , then swim, then snake on the surface then pop.

If the bite is exclusively on the drop, I'll switch to a wacky rig with owner mosquito hook, or gammy weedless.

I fish a wide gap hook...weightless.  My favorite use for them is on a MH action spinning rig that I use to skip up underneath overhanging trees/bushes.

either t riged (owner straight shank or wide gap plus hook) or wacky rigged (owner mosquitto or gammy finesse wide gap) i fish them almost always the same.  i toss em out and let em fall on a slack line paying close attention to the line as the lure falls.  i deadstick it from anywhere between 5 seconds and a full minute or more and then with a slow sweeping motion i sweep the senko of the bottom and again let it fall on a semi slack line.  i repeat this through whatever area i am targeting. i never fish the senko like a jerkbait as i prefer other plastics for this presentation.  i will occasionally use a screw in bullet weight if i am fishing a senko in cover and i will also c-rig them occasionally.

I've been using a 4" Senko on a drop shot rig with some success.I nose hook it with a #2 or #4 Diiechi(sic) finese hook.

I start off with a weightless, t-rigged dark color with a #2 size hook.  I work it like a fluke with small starts and stops.  If that doesn't work I'll add a 1/8 ounce bullet weight and start dragging it slowly across the bottom.  When the senko starts getting beat up I'll wacky rig it.

There isn't much I can add to the posts and previous threads.  The fishing of Senkos has been covered in detail.  I will add that I generally fish my Senkos on a hook at the end of some line attached to a rod and reel combo and I usually fish them in water.

This applies to me too.  I try all sorts of ways till I find what they want.  Then I give it to 'em.

My best colors are in order: Blue over Green (SourGrapes), Red w/ Green (RedBug), Watermellon Flake, Yellow w/ Black (Forgot the name).

I only buy them from ***.  They work very, very well for me.

3/0 Gamakatsu and 8 or 10lb braid.  Depends on the rod I reach for.

BTW That is a nice Peacock on your Avatar.  It looks just like the one at Basspro trying to smash the prop lure.
