Backroad Angler Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 I carry a Kershaw clash, not a bad little pocket knife. 2 Quote

It's the one with a blade, file, scissors, toothpick and tweezers. I don't like to carry much of anything in my pockets. This is me too. I have to remember to remove it when I enter a federal building, courthouse, or go to the airport. No weapons permitted there. Keep a leather man type multi tool in both the truck and wife’s SUV. 2 Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted July 12, 2024 Super User Posted July 12, 2024 I carry a Case medium size Stockman with three blades. Have several others like that I have used over the years. Several are Buck knives and some Hen and Rooster. I have a Leatherman I keep in the boat but I very rarely use it. 1 Quote
Super User GreenPig Posted July 13, 2024 Super User Posted July 13, 2024 Daily carry this Kershaw. I carried a Leatherman everyday I worked on planes. 2 Quote
Bazoo Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 I've been collecting and using knives since I was 10 years old. I don't have a huge collection, I go through spells where I'll sell some off and get others. I carry a Leatherman original PST daily. I use it during fishing almost every time out. I also have a spare, as I can't be without my Leatherman Tool. I also carry one of several traditional knives. I prefer to use a knife to change lures as to a line snipper, as it is aw ay to combine two of my loves, knives and fishing. (The other two are Jesus and guns.) I use this Case 6.5375 Jumbo Stockman a lot. Most of the time I carry the 6265 Folding Hunter as my belt knife. Once in a while I switch it up and carry the Buck 192 Vanguard, which is my favorite fixed blade. Got to cut out a nice backlash with my LT Wright Camp Muk the other day. 3 Quote
spartyon8 Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 I edc a Benchmade Griptilian and a Leatherman Rev. I also have a Benchmade Bugout but find the Griptilian better in the hands which gets used everyday. 2 Quote
Super User slonezp Posted July 13, 2024 Super User Posted July 13, 2024 $30 Gerber at work. Buck 110 Hunter fishing and outdoor stuff and someone recently gave me one of these and I tell you what, the quality is outstanding and very lightweight. So far I have only used it to separate the plastic dividers in my 3700 boxes and it has exceeded my expectations https://www.bladehq.com/item--Cold-Steel-Voyager-Clip-Point--8596 2 Quote

I was thinking safe queen, but he made me carry it. He's 22 now and that knife has been carried probably more than any other. The CV blades are dark and pitted because of sweat and use and the white bone has turned yellow/tan. I wish I had oiled it a little bit more, but the blades have never needed to be sharpened. It's a great steel. On 7/12/2024 at 7:07 PM, fishhugger said: Hope you enjoy the #6. You may already know it's the smallest 'lockable' opinel. Locking meaning you can slide the rotating ring to Lock the blade open when in use ... Or closed, such as when it's in your pocket. A necessary feature... To me. I've never used the lock either way on mine. The humidity down here in GA is so bad that the wood swells and it would be impossible for the knife to open on it's own. On really bad days, I have to use the "rap the bottom on something hard" trick to get the blade to open normally. 😉 Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted July 14, 2024 Super User Posted July 14, 2024 I have a Buck Ranger that was a gift from my brother in law, and a Buck 110 that was my dads. My everyday knife that I use for everything is a Master. 1 Quote
Rockhopper Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Older thread, but man I have a crazy amount of knives. I don't have a "daily" as I rotate them often. Benchmade 945 is currently in my pocket. I am a collector, and the knives I purchase are always with resale in mind. I don't think I own a knife that is under $200. I buy a lot of custom knives from makers that I have befriended over the years. Have several Matt Helm blades. Quite a few Benchmade knives. Ryan W., Ben Tendick, Dauntless to name a few. You can keep your Spyderco's. 😄 1 Quote

Super User scaleface Posted November 27, 2024 Super User Posted November 27, 2024 I've been carrying since grade school. Had lots of stockmans that cleaned a lot of rabbits, lost them often . Now I carry a Swiss Army knife in my left pocket and a Swiss Tech one hand knife in my right pocket . This Swiss Tech Wurdig is 30 dollars , a great user and fishing knife.. I bought a second one just in case I lose it and are no they longer available. Quote
Motoboss Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 One of these everyday; Benchmade Auto Immunity Gerber Armbar Swiss Army Knife Compact Quote
FishTax Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 I keep a Gerber dime on my keys. Inexpensive and has held up well. Every time I find a good sale I get another in case I lose it in security somewhere. I use this tool almost daily for something it seems, love the bottle opener and package opener specifically in such a small tool. Quote
