Tatula Reel Differences

Can someone explain the differences between these 3 reels please?

First item - the Tatula CT is just a Fuego CT with the T-Wing system - otherwise they're identical...same frame, spool, main gear, brakes, etc

The CT is a narrow frame version of the original Tatula and Tatula HD 150 with a plastic handle side plate from 2016.  It used to have paddle knobs like the Tatula 150 but they updated the reel in 2020 with new paint and the new thin knobs.  Even though it's a Compat Tough CT reel it's larger than all other modern Tatulas except for the 150 and 200 which are 2013 reels.  

 

The Tatula SV TW are old generation 17 Tatula SV and 20 Tatula SV that they sell along side the new 24 Tatula SV.  I don't know why they do this.  If you want one get the newest 24 Tatula SV Boost.  

 

The 100 is just a standard current gen Tatula.  The 24 gen was recently released and it's a nice reel for the money.  Hyper drive gears and an aluminum handle side plate have trickled down from the Daiwa higher end reels and it makes for an incredibly smooth and solid feeling reel.  

 

All can be had for much cheaper than what TW wants for them.

I love my CT and have debated getting a 150 - love the look of them. The CT has great specs from line capacity, amount of drag, and construction parts, which, to me, make it a better buy than the Tatula 100. For an all around reel, I would do the CT, unless throwing heavier baits like swimbaits. I have caught hundreds of salmon (pink, sockeye, silvers) on my CT with 15 lb fluorocarbon and it handled them with ease. Highly recommend the CT.

At this point in time there isn't a good reason beyond budget considerations to buy a Daiwa without an aluminum handle-side sideplate. They're just smoother off the bat and stay smoother. Add the new Hyperdrive gear cut, and you have a reel that's liquid smooth. Even my Tat 150 without Hyperdrive gears is quite smooth, but it does have an aluminum sideplate. This doesn't mean the Fuego, CT, or old SV aren't good reels. I've had them all, but the new models like the '24 Tatula 100 are more robust due to more metal in their construction in critical areas and are just plain better. If you like tiny reels, The Tatula 80 won't disappoint, and if you follow @Bigbox99's advice, you can purchase these newer reels at a deep discount without worry. Enough people here have purchased from overseas sellers and testified to the deals.

Found a Tatula Bass Rod, 7'3" MHF on sale and ordered it plus a Tatula 100. This thread is a bad influence 😂

How would you like to have hyperdrive gears for your Tatula 150?  There is the very real possibility that the hyperdrive gears in the 24 Tatula 150 SV will be backwards compatible with older Tatulas since that reel is based on the Tatula CT which shares gears with the Tatula 150 and 200.

If the stock gears get meshy I would, but that hasn't happened yet.  If they do, I'd definitely get the Hyperdrive gears.
