We all know mono has a tendancy to twist using spinning tackle, some say they use a braid on spinning gear, my question is does braid also twist, and if so how bad and how does it compare to mono?

your thoughts?

I've used Fireline on one of my spinning reels for three years. Although it's a fused line, not a braid, it's still a superline and presumably has similar characteristics to braid. There has been zero twist on this reel, a reel which twists mono. However, the Fireline is subject to loops and tangles like mono.

i have seen braid twist when using internal tube jig weights all day but it doesn't ruin it like mono.it won't cause it to tangle up on you.to untwist you cut off your lure and let out the line then reel it back between your fingers.

I would go with the fireline also.  Try the new crystal.  Its nice, but the whole invisibility thing is crap.  I just beleive that fish aren't line shy.

I've been wanting to try that new crystal fireline.  As far as your belief about fish not being line shy...I know a guy who catches trout on 12lb line.  He outfishes most others when he fishes too.
