Got keep using it though. Little skeptical still because not much hook to work with. How are they hooked? Hookup rate for me has been incredible and I struggle to think of any lost fish. Even on fish that aren't hooked in the roof of the mouth, they still don't seem to get off. I'm a believer in this hook shape. The fact that it can also be used as a wacky hook was icing on the cake for me. I hear the Nishine is similarly good (would love to hear more comments! ), though I haven't heard them being used as a wacky. Perhaps a positive for some? Although I am sorry if you're not liking them as much, as I know you bought based on my enthusiasm. 2 hours ago, webertime said: I love the Nishine hooks Would love to hear more... Quote
Americanzero Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 I like the VMC Spinshot hooks. They let the bait move independently of the line, and you can really feel the bottom the way it all hooks together. I haven’t ever caught a “big” fish on one though. Quote

Mjmj Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 I had the same problem when I started drop shotting. I was using a vmc spin shot hook. After reading a couple post, people stated that they were losing fish on the sponsor also and went with a Gamakatsu, vmc mosquit, or the robohook. I used the vmc and just reeled into the fish. The hook is almost always in the roof of the mouth and my hook up ratio is probably around 98%! Quote
