What is the best dropshot hook made. I lost wayyyyyy too many fish today. Im using 4 inch fat straight tail roboworms.

I went through this and discovered a real gem. It also serves as my wacky hook, so you'll get dual use out of it. Everyone who's tried it loves it.

It's the Hayabusa Spin Muscle. Unique design holds the bait in the "V" and also serves to really pin the fish. A truly exceptional hook. Image below.

Bonus: this hook can be put on with a Snell knot which is superior to your typical drop shot knots IMO.

Barring the Spin Muscle, by all accounts the Nishine DS Hook is supposed to be fantastic and can also be tied in with a Snell. Video on how to tie Snell for drop shot.

Nose. Not weedless. I actually run the hook down the body like a swimbait. The whole bend and point of the hook exposed.
Also what size?  I think i was using either a #1 or 1/0

If you nose hook meaning the hook goes through the nose of the worm.

Aaron Marten rigged a nose hook by inserting the hook point so it protruded slightly out the top of the worm nose.

What you do is Tex-pose the short drop shot hook and that allows the with to fill the hook gap with plastic.

Owner Down shot hook # 5133 size 2:0 for Roboworm works very good for weedless skin hooked soft plastics. You can could use this hook and expose the hook point.

The standard “nose” hook using a size 1 Gamakatsu or Owner Mosqiuto hook works good.

Threading the worm through the nose and out the back as you're describing will stiffen up a good portion of the worms length and has no real advantage. The tip hook method used by Aaron Martens, as wrb explained, gives better control and more natural action to the worm, is quicker to rig than threading, and will be more weedless. Hard to beat the Gamakatsu #1 dropshot hook for 4 inch worms, the berkley fusion dropshot hook is pretty good too. See drawing for tip hook rigging.

This is the buried nose hook WRB and Bass Ruten refer to on the Hayabusa hook with a 4" Roboworm

Also shown is the exposed hook and a "Texas Rig" of sorts (hook tip exposed for effect) you can do due to the unique hook bend.

I go back and forth between worms and 4" shad impacts (or alive shads) so I like a 1/0 or 2/0 ewg hook. Recently started using a 2/0 owner twistlock to prevent the shad baits from getting ripped up so much and have liked it so far. Don't really like nose hooking or using cover shot type hooks...tried them both and felt like I was missing a lot and suspect it's because there wasn't enough hook exposure (especially w/ the shad imitation baits). Guess what I'm trying to say is I personally like a small ewg but I'm sure there are others here that are going to say I'm wrong and ultimately I'd say try different stuff out until you find something you like then go with that and forget about what other people say you should use.

I saw a Facebook ad for a sample pack of Spearpoint hooks for a few bucks. All of the hooks in the sample pack were great but the finesse hook for drop shot or wacky is my go-to hook. I do not lose any fish because they came unbutttoned. Now doing something stupid is not the hooks fault...

Not a EWG hook the gap is regular size sickle type bend and it’s an excellent drop shot hook rigged weedless skin hook.👍

Mine sits dead straight. Might take you a go or two. Or do you have the bait partially up the angled shank?

You can always use Palomar knot if it's doesn't agree with you using a Snell

Nice beer!

Ill play around with it. Using a snail knot with top line going through eye and bottom down from angled shank.

I don’t nose hook my dropshots.  I use a gamakatsu #1 (not a 1 ought) and a quick drop dropshot weight.  I lose very few Texas rigging my dropshot baits which are mainly Yamamoto Shad Shape Worms, Pro Senkos and California Roll.

Used these today. I was 4 for 4 with no fish lost. However i was not happy with how they were hooked. Got keep using it though. Little skeptical still because not much hook to work with.
