kwb Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 hello, Im retooling my stiks and going all Shimano. I have become a big curado fan but looking at a chronarch for deep crank for line cap.I see guys talk about the matanium xt and find on the net Ican get it for the same price as a curado. what is the diferance in the chronarch vs the matanium and is ther a chang from 2005 to 07 in the matanium I have found mataniums for $209.00 but say new 05 Thanks korey Quote
Super User Raul Posted January 15, 2007 Super User Posted January 15, 2007 The Metanium XT is comparable to the Chronarch 100B, same size, same systems, same everything with 4 exceptions: 1.- Weights half an ounce less due to lighter alloy gears 2.- Comes with stock 84 mm power handle vs the 80 mm handle found in the Chronarch B 3.- It has clicking tension knob cap not found in the Chronarch 100B 4.- You can find it for around $200 while you won 't find a Chronarch 100B at that price nowhere. Only problem is, the Metanium XT is only found in one version while the Chronarch 100B has 3 versions. Quote

justtrying Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 i have two of the newer metanium's that i bought last year. i love them. they're smoother, quieter & feel more like high end shimanos than the new curados. ronnie Quote
