I have become a big curado fan but looking at a chronarch for deep crank for line cap.I see guys talk about the matanium xt and find on the net Ican get it for the same price as a curado. what is the diferance in the chronarch vs the matanium and is ther a chang from 2005 to 07 in the matanium    I have found mataniums for $209.00 but say new 05                                                                                                                                                             Thanks korey

The Metanium XT is comparable to the Chronarch 100B, same size, same systems, same everything with 4 exceptions:

1.- Weights half an ounce less due to lighter alloy gears

2.- Comes with stock 84 mm power handle vs the 80 mm handle found in the Chronarch B

3.- It has clicking tension knob cap not found in the Chronarch 100B

4.- You can find it for around $200 while you won 't find a Chronarch 100B at that price nowhere.

Only problem is, the Metanium XT is only found in one version while the Chronarch 100B has 3 versions.

I have found mataniums for $209.00 but say new 05

And about that, the NEW Metanium appeared last year, the previous version was released in 1995-1996 and discontinued in 2004.

i have two of the newer metanium's that i bought last year. i love them.

they're smoother, quieter & feel more like high end shimanos than the new curados.
