I got a late start due to some mandatory Saturday overtime at work. I got in the water around 11am. I launched out of city island where and the river is running 3.7/8. I wanted to run up stream to some islands on my way up on plane I started going over extremely shallow weed beds. Having a jet this could be problematic. I turned around and cut back another way.  I ended up finding no fish up in the shallow weeds.  I decided to just float down stream and cover water since I know this time of year the bass really spread out.

i did end up running into some pockets of bass. Sadly it was later on in my day with possible severe thunderstorms I wanted to make sure I was off the water safety. I ended up getting off the water around 2.

My dad and I did end up bumping into some kayak guys who were from NC. I know people come from out of state to the susky so it is cool when I do bump into them. Their comment was about it was “boy it’s shallow”

I am gonna get up there in the next month or so.  I know the bassmaster kayak series has their event there the weekend of the 26th.  Usually I have been up there 2-3 times by now...probably my favorite place to fish

@flyfisherWhere the bass masters is I almost never fish that long stretch. It’s starting a little below wilkesbarre to basically where the juniata river feeds in. I’m not sure where on the west branch they can put in at. It may be super low by then.
