What is your water clarity like? I’m going to suggest a spinnerbait but want to know water clarity before I suggest which one.

3/4 of the places I fish are very similar to your lake and have a nearly identical situation.  @softwateronly's response about the jigs and jigworm are very similar to what I would have said. although I haven't tried a preacher jig or strolling thing yet.

Decently clear, probably 6-8 feet of visibility

Oh heck yeah!

Yeah, I want them too.  The 7" sakamata's/6th sense flush/spunk shads are also great on a free rig in those situations when they're closer to the bottom.  From last month, top free rig, bottom jighead minnow....

Nichols Pulsator Metal Flake Colorado/willow 1/2oz. Something like Blue Crystal or Bombshell Bass should work well. Slow roll it just outside the weed lines. Let it fall to bottom and creep along the bottom. If that doesn’t work, keep working a little higher in the water column. If that still doesn’t work, throw it into the weeds from outside the weedline, bringing it through the mess.

I'll add on more bait to the 6-8" soft jerkbait category that could be used for the technique discussed in this thread: the Savage Gear Dragontail Stick Worm. It's on clearance on Tackle Warehouse, so perhaps Savage Gear won't be making it anymore, but it comes in both a 6" and 8" size and could be interesting?

We have no vegetation but we have suspended fish.  Keitech fat impact swim baits in 2.8 and 3.8 are very effective.  We fish them on 1/8, 1/4, and 3/8 Dirty jigs guppy heads.
