Both of my boys called. One lives in Cheyenne, WY the other in Knoxville, TN, both too far away to drive to Arkansas for Father's Day. All of my stepdaughter's came over and made my favorite meal, hot dogs with all of the trimmings. I know that they aren't healthy, but I love them. Got several BPS gift cards and a book (when it gets here). All in all a great day!

I got 2 wonderful hand written cards from my children, a wonderful card from my wife with a cool looking bracelet and a $25.00 gift card to BPS and this shirt from my kids that I asked them to get me😃

I got a few kastmaster spoons, a 25$ gift card , and last but not least, a set of LED headlights for my suburban. Bright lighters will pay dearly HA HA !

I was able to enjoy dinner at a Brazilian BBQ restaurant, and will be receiving a JDM Daiwa Alphas courtesy of Mrs B very soon.

Back in 2006 when my son was only 7 months old we started a tradition where my son, my father, and myself would go out to Sunday brunch on Father's Day. That lasted until my son was 13 and my father's poor health kept him home so we would make breakfast at his house.

 

My father passed away in 2020 and Father's Day has not been the same since. But yesterday, my now 18 year old son took me out to lunch at a local restaurant and my son asked to bring a framed photo of my father from back in his RCAF days and we put it on the table with us.

 

I won't go into details, but my son has had some trauma and some extreme difficulties the past three years, so his gestures yesterday meant the world to me. It was a great day.

 

Happy Father's Day to all of the other dads out here on BR.

Daughter made me a card and coupon book at school. All the coupons are kinda pointless though haha. I don’t sleep in and that’s one of em. She’s 8 so yard work one I guess have her pick up sticks before I mow. Do dishes I could use but her mom will just re do them haha. 
 

My boys texted me saying happy Father’s Day but that was it from them. 
 

I have a small urn with my father’s ashes in it that says “fishing in heaven” so I fished with him watching down but I do that every Sunday already.

Waterproof weatherproof portable radio for the boat. My bass boat does not have one built in. I’m ok with that. My present unit I’ve had since the 80’s and have been talking about a new one. I have to play with it some. Be out with me by the weekend.

I got to spend 3 days camping and fishing with my grandson. His first time camping and my first time since the kids were teenagers. It was time well spent.

They used my grandmothers recipe. 
 

Kinda surprising as her being an immigrant from Sicily you’d think it would be red using a tomato base. 
 

But you didn’t question grandma when it came to her cooking!
