While I haven't seen anything 'official'

sure seems like the writings on the wall.

Seeing all the 'signs'.

Fortunately, if you're a fan of this one as I am,

and are looking for a last gasp shot at a few spools

It's still available and On Sale (54% off)

https://sunlineamerica.com/collections/line/products/shooter-defier-armilo

(Fair warning - The standard shipping is a little rugged)

I got mine as it makes a killer topwater leader.

Thank You @OG Crankster

And you know what ?

I totally missed that until I reposted the link here.

My bad and that's what I get for not paying attention.

I was initially just happy with getting what I needed and at half price before it was gone.

K as in Knucklehead.

Big Game with a fancy label and high price tag.

Wrong Armilo is smaller dia and very consistent size throughout the spool of line with exceptional knot strength.

Big Game is still a very decent choice IMO,

and used quite a bit this spring with success.

But when I want the highest level of confidence,

I reach for the Armilo.

Last few seasons it's helped me land every topwater brown bass over 5 lbs

and 6 pounds.

Still looking for that elusive topwater smallies over 7.

I get giddy just typing that.

Just took a look around - HookUp has it for $11.15 a spool...so 0.15 more, but the shipping charges are better.

My last 3 spools all had weird break off problems (recently purchased too).  Idk if the last of the stock is old or something.

I used Big Game for 30+ years and caught 4 of my 5 giant bass listed on 10# & 12#.

The only exception was my 1st giant 18.6 lb was using Trilene 12 # XT, so yes BG is good mono.

Replaced BG with Armilo when using $$$ swimbait with 25.# /.016D Armilo and never broke off a swimbiat. I use 11%/ .011D Armilo for crank baits, top water etc, excellent casting line👍

Funny you mention it. Just a few days ago I went on TW looking for it and didn't see it anywhere. I was also gonna ask here is they're discontinuing it, but I forgot.

I use the 13# on a few of my top water rods. Never had any issues. Seeing how nicely the line is wound on a new spool when you first pull it out of the box is a thing of beauty.

@A-Jay thank you. Caught both my longest and my heaviest smallies (two different fish) on this line.

@WRB what conditioner did you like with this line? I remember you mentioning in a post but probably quicker and timely if you repeat here. thank you

Most of my order was canceled even tho it was "in stock" when I ordered. Hope you guys fared better. I found what I wanted at another site but paid more.... oh well.

My full order arrived this morning via FedX.

So at least there's some hope if others got their orders in

prior to any inventory exhaustion,

they would get it.

Having said that, it appears to be discontinued as well. Ugh.

I'm a long time CXX user....does Armilo stretch even less?

Yes it has. I loved that line for crankbaits. Went to order more a while back and couldn’t find it

It is (was) great mono. I see they have Super Natural mono in Clear, Jungle Green, Hi-Vis Yellow and Orange, but I have no idea how it compares to Defier.

I’ve use both.   Everyone will have their own opinion but I would bet money that no one could tell the difference in a blind test.

Sunline Super Natural is low memory soft mono ideal for spinning reels imo.

There were 2 Deifer mono’s Armilo has high knot strength and abrasion resistance Shooter Diefer Nylon* slighter lower then Armilo with less memory, both exceptional mono lines.

Tom

* still available but being closed out.

I wonder why the change? Too many product types? Decrease in sales?
