evilcatfish Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 Once hooked up, I'd say about 85% or so. I'd guess my success rate on the hookset to be somewhat lower, maybe 65% or so? Quote
ironbjorn Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 I have no possible idea how this would be accurately calculated unless documenting every bass encounter starting now, which would be an insane burden. I'll just say that I land the vast majority of bass hooked by a single hook and I lose probably 1/4 of treble hooked bass. Quote
Bazoo Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 I'd say for me it's 90% land ratio. Most often if I lose one it's on a crankbait, but I fish crankbaits a lot too. Quote
PaulVE64 Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 My hookset ratio has been really good but I've recently started using a new rod and my ratio is down to 2 for 10.  What heartbreak. This rod us my longest and slowest . Changing my hookset has given me the fits. I lost a 20" smallie on the jump, I ripped his lip whaling back on the line while he was head shaking.    Quote
